Concealed Carry Holsters

Crossbreed or alien gear all the way.

I went with Crossbreed, alien gear is fine if you don't have a Glock, but sometimes their Kydex doesn't cover the whole trigger guard. Crossbreed is pretty much the gold standard. I also have a SHTF Gear Holster that ive used for a long time, but the metal clips can catch on your shirt. So that's a big minus. As for carrying an extra mag ive been using https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000PL4AX2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 For about two years and i have 0 complaints. It can slide back and forth but i put it in-between my holster and a belt loop so its nice and snug and doesn't move around. Honestly though a good carry belt that can distribute the weight of the gun is just as important if not more than a good holster. https://www.hanksbelts.com/collecti...ts/hanks-gunner-freedom-concealed-carry-belts Is what i use, but any thing from their sight will probably work well. I will say that i am not a fan appendix carry unless the gun's barrel is faced away from your junk. Galco also makes excellent quality holsters if your willing to break the bank.

OH and you might need to get a specific holster for appendix carry like http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/Product/Appendix-Carry im not so sure your standard two clip would work that well.

i've carried a full size m&p .40 for quite some time, have used crossbreed but also have found the Raven Concealment Vanguard II to be a good alternative.

What type of carry do you guys like? I feel like just regular carry on the hip is the most sound, but a lot of my buddies back at base carry appendix.

I do appendix or side depending on what the day holds and or the outfit of the day.

I like the look of that Fubs. Might start checking out the Alien gear ones since everyone has them.

Wow that is way to much gap between the back of the trigger guard and the kydex holster for my liking, anything could get between that and pull the gun out. I called Alien gear a few months ago to ask how many mm between the back of the trigger guard and the end of the kydex holster and the guy on the phone told me they don't give out that information. I don't know about you but http://tbgclan.com/attachments/img_20160824_163537457-jpg.11577/ is unacceptable on any gun especially a Glock. My Crossbreed holster has no gap whatsoever.
I didnt just pull these problems out of the blue either they are well documented just google the words "Alien Gear Exposed Trigger" and you will see a few reddit links. Some will say having a half inch gap in kydex between the back of the trigger and the trigger guard is not an issue as long as it covers the trigger. Others will say it has potential to get snagged, and i am definitely in that group.

@locksmith673 , How do the Crossbreed holsters work? Is it all custom made or do they have pre-made sizes for different weapons?

I can't find any specifics on their website.

Pre made sizes for different weapons although you could probably order something custom. The main difference between alien gear and Crossbreed is Crossbreeds Quality control and building materials are better.

I appendix carry my g43 with a bladetech klipt. inexpensive and works well enough for me. holds the gun pretty well. easy to reholster without removing from your belt. i like it. its far from "nice"....the bare minimum to do the job. it would definitely work well temporarily until you could buy a nice one. its only about 20 bucks. ill probably buy another one some day, but its pretty good bang for your buck.

I am seriously looking at the Crossbreed's now. Just can't seem to find where they have the pre-mades on the their website.

I did a bit of poking around and it seems the Witness ones fit well in the CZ holsters. I would give them a call and ask them which CZ holster will work for you the best.
