Yes, and no.

A lot of the bugs are now fixed. Gunplay feels quite a bit better, with BF4 aiming measurements. I can have Battlefield level fun with it now, if they introduce better maps. The 2042 launch maps are my least favorite overall in Battlefield history.

I've got quite the backlog to catch up on, plus GamePass has so many games, so nothing new to buy for me. Planning to spend December on 2042, Halo Infinite, Ark, Forza Horizon 5, Satisfactory, and might re-start Shenmue 1 through 3. I don't think any of this helped you with what to buy...

I agree that 2042 needs polishing, and I think it has potential to be an epic level Battlefield game. I'm already having a ton of fun with it, despite the issues. Most of what was mentioned above are also issues that I am seeing or encountering. That sloped terrain hit box thing is annoying...
