So I got my new laptop, very excited, it is a great purchase. Now, I am trying to Download BC2 becuase I don't have the disk with me. And evertime I get to 2gigs, the DL errors out. I've been trying for 3 days. I have a really nice gaming laptop, with no games to play on it.

It's like having an erection with no where to stick it.

Try deleting the download program as well as the cache. Do a checkdisk(to check for errors) and make sure everything is updated(prolly not the case but it cant hurt). Then reinstall the download program and try again

Why not try torrenting it or use Steam or the like? Those should be able to resume quite easily. Especially torrenting. Unreliable connections become useful again with torrents.
