I've heard of this kinda thing happening, but never saw it. Today, I saw a alien just AFK until he got 75 res, and then went Onos.

What do you guys think? Kickable offense or just let it slide?
 
how do you get the res anyways? just through time or is there a logic behind it?

Your team must control parts of the map which have res spots in them. The more Res spots owned by the team the faster you generate res.

Id say kick him as an AFK before he even does anything. Just look under the hive or the marine base 5min into each game and ask if so and so is afk, no responce = boot. If its a full server, his spot will fill. (Make a habit of this). If the server is empty just leave the afk's haha :D

As far as that situation directly , mabey just a warning, and if you get any fuss just kick him.
 
How he got to 75 res afk is the question. I kick AFKs after 3-5mins mark, or clean the RR (if full). Nothing like having an afk or 2 and already being down one player (12 vs 11)...
 
Well, the guy was a regular in the server, so I didn't want to kick. He also helps idle when the server is empty, so I tended to give him some leeway.
 
Afk'ing while the game is going when other people are trying to join (like myself) should be dealt with right away.

I know a few regulars who think its OK to just sit AFK in a full server, I dont agree with it, they are taking up a slot for possible new members... and members.
 
I'll chime in here. It doesn't matter if it's a regular or a member if the server is full and people are waiting to play (BF Series Queue) then kick them. How long before you kick an AFK player? That is where you can apply some leeway. They shouldn't take offense to it as you are doing the right thing for the server and active players. In the BF series I usually give them five or more minutes to start posting a score. Sooner especially if there are people waiting to get in.
 
Chi server won't be up for another month unless I am staying permanently at this location

Once I finish with the moving / unpacking I can really put my energy into the server / adding DAk etc
 
No I hate all of you, it'll be the Vanc server forever and ever in my heart. It's my first TBG server and how I met Cotton... VANCOUVER GOD DAMMIT

In Bulgaria, we have a specific word for the "crate/case" above that we only use for that specific plastic or wooden thing that you use to e.g. put apples in when you pick them from the tree xD .

We used to jokingly call our PC cases "crates"... I guess someone's case literally is a crate xD .
