I was riding to work and pulling onto the interstate this afternoon on my way to work, the on ramp is a 180 degree turn with a radius around 30' so it's a particularly sharp turn. I use this on ramp every day going to work so I'm used to it, but for whatever reason it was slicker than shit today. When I was about halfway through the turn the bike started sliding out from under me, I wasn't going so fast that laying it down would cause me any serious injury (I had all my flame resistant gear on for work which is really thick, the jeans in that pic are about twice as thick and heavy as normal jeans) but who the fuck wants to lay down a brand new Harley? So I put my foot down to help stabilize the bike and keep it up while it was sliding but the damn road was so fucking slick my foot slid right under the bike. Anyhow, as my bike was riding over my foot and dragging it under the bike like a chok block I realized how heavy this bike is (811 pounds without me or fuel). I got lucky, I was wearing my steel toed boots for work and I didn't break any part of my body or put the bike down. I did pull over though to make sure I didn't break my leg. When I got to work I saw the number that did on my boot, I've had these boots for a year now and they haven't had any serious scuffs or cuts or anything until now. Aside from tweaking my ankle and knee from getting turned the wrong way as they went under the bike I'm fine. I've driven this bike through some nasty shit, thunderstorms, high wind blah blah blah, a perfectly nice day is what does it....
