Rebuilt a 5.8L/W EFI and I cant get the thing to start. Got the air out of the rail and have good pressure. Have spark but it only strikes once. Does Ford have some trick I have to do? I've been reading all day and can't find any info. I ran into a problem when rebuilding a 4.3L vortex. Where you had to disconnect one side of the distributor to set the timing but that thing started on the first try. If anyone want to follow me on FB here's a link to my page. https://www.facebook.com/BuddysKustom?notif_t=fbpage_presence

What sensors are in and your using? Crank sensor, MASS Air flow, MAP, Hell there are a ton of them needed. When you say you have spark do you have spark throughout all plugs for a given duration? How is the fuel pressure? Damn Fords' are finicky when it comes to sensors.

It's an 94 F150. I think we got it. Changed out the coil and ICM. Still nothing but now that there's light out you can see an arc mark on the bottom of the hood. So I think the brain is fried from some yahoo dropping the hood on the battery. Wont know till the part comes in but that where it at right now. Long story. So here's the short. My buddy sent his truck (that he inherited from his grandfather) to a shop to have a turbo put in it. Along with 12k to get started. Three years later he got a call to pick up his truck and that he's going to need a trailer. We get there and the motor is sitting in the bed of the truck. It's been along couple of months in and out of junk yards because not all of the parts were there.

Thank. Though ford had some strange thing you had to do. I don't know. I like Chevy's :)
