There is an asteroid (not meteor) that will fly past us. It will not strike us or we would be screwed. You can also watch it online.

You would only be screwed if it hit the general vicinity of where you were standing. Its estimated if it had impacted to have less power than that of whatever caused the Tunguska event in Siberia in 1908.
