Of course, such a leak is normal for EA as Crysis 3 was outed the same way. Battlefield 3 was released last year and Medal of Honor limited editon allowed you to access its beta.

Considering the banner shows $69.99 price, it seems like EA is once again tying the Battlefield beta to Medal of Honor?s limited edition, but the difference is MoH?s limited edition just costed $59.99.

EA should announce the game soon just like they did with Crysis 3, so for now, Battlefield 4 is real and coming next year. It seems like EA is going with a two year cycle for each Battlefield game, and that makes sense considering they cannot compete with Activision in churning out yearly sequels.

They've pulled this banner down from the store, even so seems likely. I just hope BF4, when officially announced by EA, is 2143.

i bet 2143 will be one of the expansion packs, just like vietnam was in bc2.
 
2143 would be great. Not sure if it is going to happen, though.
 
Hope its not 2142.... If I want to play a futuristic game I would play BO2 (Cant believe I just said that)

Meh they said publicly it was going to happen they just didn't say when and they still haven't :p
 
Is it just me or did they skip BF:BO? Also moar horses are required.

My fuckings go to EA for ruining this franchise.

How I wish DICE had instead gone to Valve for backend support and publishing instead of those cockmasters 10 years ago...
 
So BF4 will be out in 2013? or 2014? I swear bf3 came out in 2012 hahaha

Oh well.. I wanted warfigher anyway but I just hope its good and not a flop like the previous MOH
 
To be fair, BF2142 came out the year after BF2, so I can see them do it again (whether 4 or 2143). BO2 does look okay, and aside from that Commander Mode thing it just looks the same, but with horses.

All joking aside, I never wanted a sequel to 2. Well, not until BC2 came out anyway. BF3 was great for the three months I played it, then just got bored. Went back to BC2 which I bought again but for the PC and been playing that instead now. Still an amazing game.Honestly, and I know this is unlikely.... but I'd actually be happy with a re-release of 2143 but with updated graphics.

Getting back to topic, yeah I was gonna get Warfighter anyway; this just, if true, sweetens the deal. Chances are a new BF game will come out late next year.
 
They'll run out of XP's next summer, so I figure a 6 month break before BF$ hits us. Which explains the lack of mod tools; they're not concerned about BF? having a long life as they'll be either a new game or expansion pack every 3-6 months from now until the end of time. And they've got 21$? available for the day when COD4 clones (which is all these modern warfare shooters really are) go out of fashion. And BF19$$ for when WWII shooter come back.

HEY!! DICE!!!! How about a remake of Codename Eagle???
 
Well they did give nearly EVERYONE what they wanted, careful what you wish for. People cried when BF3 was official that they hoped not to wait until 2017 for 4. Looks like fall of 2013 which means it probably wont be hugely revolutionary in terms of the engine.

Then again DICE acted like it was trying to make this playable fora few years while they brought out the usual other titles and it no longer looks like thats the plan.
 
Lol, people are going ape-shit over this announcement. Honestly, they must be new to the BF series.

Going off from the past, there's always some BF release every year, whether full game, DLC, F2P, console game w/e. At the end of the day, BF4 being "too soon" is and should not be a surprise at all. Last time a beta access got dished out, it was with Medal of Honor, 2010. A year later we finally got to access the beta in 2011... just before BF3 got released.

If this trend is to be followed, Warfighter gets released this fall, so BF4/2143 should see a Fall 2013 release. 2 years and a bit breathing room for BF3 to go on.

If this does turn out to be a direct sequel to 3 then fine, I can understand the hate on DICE/EA right now. Maybe I'm too excited for a possible 2143 that I can't feel shocked about this announcement myself, even so... I don't think DICE will abandon BF3 just like that and that quick. Still have hope in them.
 
I agree with Bob, if BF4 is astoundingly better, then I will move on. BC2 would still be loaded on my system if the servers were 64 players. My 2 cents.

We knew this already, never suspected that they'd stop supporting BF3, but here you go anyway.
