Can you make it that the highest ranking officer gets the squad leader position when the other one leaves? Too many times some level 10 loser that doesn't respond on the mic when asked to set squad objectives gets control of a squad. Ideally if someone doesn't set squad objectives, the responsibility should transfer to someone else.
 
I can definitely understand the frustration with that. Even losing leader between maps. I don't see this being something that can be controlled. This game does have EA's stink on it.

No control over this and no plugins for it either. Best solution, make your own squad invite who you want.
 
I hate squad leaders who don't listen to the commander. I'm here to f'ing help with objectives. I can see more of the screen then you can, thus, a reason for suggesting the object and then get told that they can't "follow my orders" when they are standing almost right beside that flag. UGHHH.

So much easier to command in 2142. At least people there listed 100x more than in BF4.

I got my leadership medal the other day and will never play commander again because of this. Pain in the ass.
 
bf2: CO>Squad orders> were the shit. I miss not being able to blow up bridges...and engineers crescent wrench them motherfucker back into operations!

As I mentioned before, find 4 guys that you are comfortable with. Squad leadership change between round is not going to change unfortunately. Our squad scrambler does not keep squad leader in place but it provides close battles during the round. If it is one sided ticket difference of 500+, you will see a lot more players rage quitting the server.
 
First of all, I wish servers would populate existing squads until they're full before putting new players into new squads.

Secondly, I got rid of all my Battlelog friends because I'll be leading a full squad, and when they join, it kicks me out of the squad I'm leading and sends me to squad Kilo to be in a 2 person squad. We're never going to get new people who join the game to join squad Kilo down at the bottom that they have to scroll to join into, and they won't auto join it that's for sure. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be in a 2/5 person squad the whole match where when I die, I have to spawn back at base.

Once again, we hate to tell you this, but this is an ongoing DiCE/EA issue. It's been happening ever since the game first launched. Disabling the option ingame still causes this to happen.

The best practice for this kind of thing is to have your friends join in and, assuming they don't have to team switch, have them add themselves to your squad. Yeah it sucks, but it'll prevent you from being pulled out of your existing squad and being dumped into the last one listed. Saves you the trouble of having quit because you lost the lead in your group.
