I'm not sure if any of you guys would be interested but if you are and you don't already have your own beta key for the Battlefield Play4 Free beta pm me and I will be happy to give you one. I only have 5 to give out so it will be on a first come first serve basis.

I got that email and deleted faster than it came in my inbox.

Shockwave if you think its worth trying out I will take a key. I am always up for testing but also hate to take a chance away from someone else.

Thanks yeah once this is matured out might be a nice browser based FPS. I see where they recycled battlefield 2 a bit. Good stuff.

Yea it's not too bad especially for a free game and I do believe they will improve it even more before the public release. If anyone still wants a chance to check it out I have 2 beta keys left just send me a pm.

I tried it about 3 months ago and it was very poor quality. I doubt things have changed, based on the direction they are going.

Yea I am not sure what the finished game will be like and to be honest I don't see this being a big mainstream hit but I felt the same about BF Heroes and to my surprise there are a lot of people still playing it. Being that it is what it is, it's still free and possibly worth checking out for some folks that are looking for a distraction from what they normally play.

You want to see two kick ass free games in-the-making?

Tactical Assault (UDK engine based of Unreal Engine 3) - Modern FPS

OverDose (ID-Tech 2 Engine) - Post-Apoc FPS

Both games support mod tools, at least 32 players (I think), open server files (easy for server administration), and great gameplay from the looks of it.

By the way, for anyone who is a skeptic of free games being overblown with cheaters (Combat Arms), the two developers I mentioned are not owned by a publisher. They can patch the game as often as they feel is necessary to remove cheats, balance the gameplay, etc, before it becomes out of hand.

Tactical Assault looks pretty cool since it's free I will have to check that one out when it's released.
