Basically, it's a "Geometry wars" clone (was that the original?) but it's a LOT more fun to play because it's basically a "playable visualizer" if you will... or it's controlled by your music tracks.
If you thought Audiosurf was pretty good and you like arcadish games, you'll be orgasming through this one.
Basically, the whole idea of the game is COMPLETE SENSORY OVERLOAD.
How fast your ship fires and how powerful your shots are = powerups + the type of music you feed the game.
I'm gonna record a video of me completing New Order - Confusion tomorrow.
I was concerned before buying that the game wouldn't feel fun at all, but I can assure you it does. I've played it for like 3 hours now, and I'll definitely be playing it into the future - especially if the guy decides to do updates/DLCs. It's fun now, but it could become even better.
If the concept of you listening to your music while playing a game which is affected by it sounds cool, and you like geometry wars-type (or arcade games in general) you won't be disappointed.
By the way, the visuals are extremely disturbing (basically they try to rape your brain, rather successfully) with colors and flashing, so if you have ANY disposition to seizures, etc. you should stay away from this at all costs.
New Order - Confusion video coming tomorrow (not sure if I can do it on hardcore, I'll try - if not, normal ;-D ).
BTW the game is on sale for $7.50 (not sure for how long) which is an added bonus - and is completely worth the purchase imo. I've had a lot more fun with it than going to even an above-average movie so far.
