Hey gang, i just re-installed my BF2 game and wanted to try your server. However, when i downloaded the 1.5 patch and then tried to join, it said i was running an older version. Any ideas fellas? Thanks in advance!!
 
Did you get the full patch or the upgrade patch?
 
What dvd, cd's you have? Some of them reinstall the 1.4 patch when finished. You need to re-install the 1.5 again.
 
Not sure what version i have. All i can tell you is that i installed it, started the game, tried to refresh the server list to find your server. All i saw was like 5 servers and they were all conquest. When i tried to join by ip, i typed the ip in and tried to join and i got a message "you are running an older version than the server." What now?
 
Definitely need to install the patch again. When you first log in to the game, but not a server it should say somewhere on the screen what version you are running.

edit; Also there is a glitch when updating the game to 1.5. You need to patch to 1.41 before you can patch to 1.5.
 
what bob said i had the same issue too headshot. 1.41 is needed first because the basic component to run the game are still in there. I'll see you on their soon. I love playing MEC side with all their jibberish chatter :D
 
Well i will see you guys on BF2 soon. The 1.41 patch fixed it and i was able to get onto the server. Thanks for all your help.
