BF2142 Servers regularly kick everyone off the server and reset the map cycle

I've noticed this occur on several servers.. It's sad to see a near-full server with the game going great and all of a sudden "You've lost connection to the server". I come back and everyone was booted... a different map is playing.

I've seen this happen to lots of servers yet... can't seem to find any threads regarding this anywhere. I've been on TBG's servers (my favorites are the all-titan, Tampa titan and Northern Strike) off and on for a couple of years now as well as the FLOT servers. I'm surprized to not find any info on this topic. I've tried all kinds of keyword combinations but nothing.

I'm sure you've all discussed this issue before.. could someone enlighten me as to what is going on here?

I believe what you are referring to are server crashes, or attempted server crashes in the form of a ddos which lags the server, causing punkbuster to kick everyone due to "high ping". EA is working on a fix (HA!) that should be out in about a month *cough*

Also another one is someone is using a hack on the server that causes it to restart.

The server crashing has been an issue for quite some time. Luckily, BF:BC 2 is coming out soon. A new patch for 2142 should be coming out soon as well.
