I have my copy of BF3 (boxed copy) in my hand :gr13:.. I had to agree to not load the cd key until the release at 12:01 am on the 25th but atleast I have it. I am very tempted to disconnect from the internet and play the one player story mode but I'll be a man of my word and wait.

LOL my guess is youve just not push that button to find out you cant start it anyways. You will come up with the release date check application that connects to the internet and decrypts key files. That and unless its changed the single player is started from within battlelog meaning you have to be on the net.

Sorry to be a debbie downer.
 
um. your not the only one with an installed copy of BF3 on hand. But I do believe you have to log in to battlelog to even play the SP =(.

I would try tbh I would go crazy on SP mode.
 
Agreed, pretty sure you'll have to have a connection of some type to the EA Origin Overlord to even play SP.

Actually now that you remind me, many of us already have the game downloaded and installed on atleast one machine. Myne is going down on the second machine now.
 
2.5 more hours of downloading and I will test it for you. My copy is comming directly from EA and i was never told not to try to play it. My guess is that it will not work untill the 25th but it cant hurt to try ;)

I haven't even opened the box. I made a promise and I'll keep it... he didn't know if the cd key could be tracked back to where it was sold from so he was worried about even handing me the copy now. He even rang it up as a different game with the same price and will go back after the release and do an edit on his stock. It's just nice to know I have my physical copy in hand.
 
I would have loved to have a box copy but my life is too busy at the moment for me to get to the store on the first day early enough to insure I would be able to get a copy!
