Hello guys, I have a question about the ISLA SQUAD DM 100 KILLS server. What company hosts the server? Gameservers, NFO etc. Who is the main admin of this server? I am having trouble and need some help.
 
Vehicle respawn rate. For the life of me I can't get it to work. Only one tank per map SQDM.
 
i believe ours is set to default vehicle spawn setting. And yes there is only 1 bradley per map.
 
I meant to say one tank per map and once it's killed it will only respawn after one hour. What ever setting I put in, it will not work. I do this setting right in NFO. Who hosts your server? Maybe this is the issue. I always though this was the norm until finding your server. Is it a plug in maybe. I need to get to the bottom of this.
 
go into your startup.txt and add

"levelVars.set all vehicleSpawnRate 50" without the quotes(default: 100) specifies how quickly vehicles should respawn; this does not affect other caps that are built into the levels, such as “Max X vehicles of type Y on this level”

But if you have NFO, go into their panel, then easy setup, then find vehicle respawn rate. Restart the server.

I have put every imaginable number in the respawn rate and restarted the server many times and tested this when no one is in the server but me. No respawn at all after 40 to 50 minutes on each test. :(

Is your server NFO? If it is, I know then I can fix this for sure. Maybe the startup.txt is the answer. I WILL donate 5 bucks if you can help me succeed this.
 
yes it's nfo. Add that command line in there (filemanager/startup.txt) in my post above and leave vehicle spawn rate blank in easy setup. Restart and see if that works.
 
my post above yours, go to filemanager, use the dropdown menu and find startup.txt
 
If you can't find that ask them about it in a support ticket or re-install your server in managed panel tab at the bottom.
I believe you can also set it up through procon.

I have nothing like that page. I did start a ticket with NFO and they said its here "Though there is no startup.txt in there."

Then the next ticket response was this.

"Per guidance from DICE, we are only allowed to give clients access to the AdminScripts, AdminLogs and pb-related folders on their servers. To set anything else about your server, please use the Easy setup page.

That page has the vehicle respawn rate variable you are wanting to change.

maybe its because you got a pay per slot server. We have a dedicated machine.
 
Well, I traced it to the fact I have secondary privilege (did not know this). So I will get to my superior and see about trying this command. I will post the results later. TY for the help.
 
Hi FAST, I have access to the file manager. Not sure exactly what to do with "levelVars.set all vehicleSpawnRate 50" without the quotes.

select AdminScripts/Startup.txt

What about the drop down menu? Select Edit?

Hit button Create/upload a file: ? After hitting button I am a lost newbie here...

Save file as:

Then a window below this with Save or cancel: ?

Below this says: "Or, upload new file contents, instead of entering them above:"


I expected to see a full txt file to add whatever...but this is all new to me.

Amazing the effort I am going through to get this going. I hope its not related to dedicated vs. pay per slot. Has the tank always spawned for you guys since day one?
 
Like i said earlier, ours is set to default. I would recommend just leaving it but if you want it to spawn faster or later

Click on startup.txt select edit. You will see a bunch of command lines at the bottom (on a new seperate line) add that

levelVars.set all vehicleSpawnRate 50

Hit save, restart the server.
 
Hey FAST, did you forget why I am doing this? The tank will NOT respawn at all after the initial one is killed. ON ANY SQDM map! No matter what I put into the box for a value. I inserted the line you gave me and restarted the server and its been 20 minutes with no respawn! I took a screen shot of my file manager. You see anything that may be preventing it from respawning? Please compare to yours. Thanks you for your patients! NFO support on this has been worthless! This is why I am turning to you.

don't have one at all. Remove it and restart the server.

That should fix it.
