cant bring up multiplayer

I have been trying to get on bf3 today and cant. It only lets me go to single player not multi player online. Has anyone else had this problem? Also origin says my authentication servers are down and I will be placed in offline mode to try later...

Anyone else ever have this problem?

My guess is they called an emergency meeting and are trying to figure out how to put the dolphin dive and all those other worthless glitches back in the game.
