City evacuates 45,000 to defuse massive WWII bomb

Crazy!!, About 3 years ago in vilsec, Germany. A frontloader ran over a WWII tank mine and killed 5 Germans. They were doing constuction on the base and the mine was located under a slab of sidewalk concrete.
It's still amazes me the amount of heavy munitions that was dropped in Germany.
 
Between 1939 and 1945 the Allies dropped 3.4 million tons of bombs, An average of about 27,700 tons of bombs each month.
 
It's also scary to find out that the bomb was just below the surface, and that it only had to stop raining to be exposed...it was not buried deep...
 
Just think if there was a earthquake wherever these bombs have gone undetonated.
