Its probably the best RTS ever made. Its like your classic RTS, you build a base then your pump out units. It ranges from mortar teams to heavy pazer tanks, to engineers. Lots of strategy involved. You can destroy points to prevent the enemy from taking them or to slow their advance, build tank traps, mines and barbed wire to deny movement. The game also rewards experience for combat. The more you fight the more experience you get, with that experience you attain something called command points which can be invested into doctrines. Similar to WOW's talent trees. Each tree or doctrine have different abilities and call in units. For example the american infantry tree has off/on map arty that you can call in to rain hell on the jerries

Only RTS ive ever got into, always been a FPS guy.

Yeah I have it and played the shit out of it for like 6 months. It's a great RTS and there are a lot of good community made maps.
