I have a question regarding commanders/commanding, and fighting.
I agree that as a Commander you should be focused on the job at hand, commanding. So I understand the no fighting/flying commander rule.

However, and maybe this is just a noob thing here... but the couple of times I've taken command, in order to see the other flags way on the other side of the map; I had to jump into a transport and land in the middle of the map. From there I got a great view of everything.

Occasionally, I had to defend my position. Is there a better way to get my orders out to the flags that I cant see from within the Titan?

you should be able to see the entire map, when you bring up your tacticle map, from there you can see each flag and zoom in on any area of the battle field. i dont think i've ever not been able to keep tabs on the entire battle zone.

I spent my fair share of time in the commander role and can tell you without a doubt you will do a much better job staying put. You can keep track of all the hot spots using the commander’s map spotting enemies every time SAT is available and UAV on the hot spots. Did you know to scroll the mouse wheel in to zoom in on locations and you can still move around during the zoom by using the normal movement keys and using the spot option with the pointer? If you’re flying around or capping a Silo then you don’t see these things, your busy flying, shooting or in general just trying not to die while capping a Silo rather than accomplishing the task your team mates require of you.

Just my .02

Cheers.

Ah ok. I downloaded the game off the EA site. So the instructions are hard to get at. So I'll go look them over more thoroughly to see what it is that I have been missing. I didn't know there was a way to zoom. I was only able to mouse my crosshairs to the locations that I could see (without any maps up) and select it, and send out an order. Sorta like as a squad leader.
I agree staying put in the Titan is a must for commanding, I knew there had to be a better way, just wasn't too interested in commanding all that much. Reading the thread earlier, (has since been locked[the dead one]) about commanders fighting, renewed my interest.
Thanks for the help.

All you have to do is bring up the commander's map and right click then select zoom. You can zoom in far enough to see everything going on around a particular silo. It also helps when dropping supplies to get them in a more accurate position to be beneficial.
