Letting you guys/girls know my computer took a total crap ahhhhhh:eek:. I ordered a new one already but Ill be awol for about a week. iM using wife's iPad pro to keep in touch.

Bummer. Have you ever built one yourself? It's fairly easy and half the cost if not cheaper. Anyway, good luck with the new PC. Any idea when it arrives?

They say Jan 3 or 4th so its not to bad of a wait. I was adding ram to my old system and bumped the processor The bottom of the processor came loose and just about fell out. I know it dosent sound possible but thats what happened. I had no choice but to take it the rest of the way out and I or (was like that) pins were bent. I tried to put it back on but...... you know. It didnt work after all the screwing around. I bought a Asus with a i5 processor and a gtx 700 series card 12 gig of ram. Like everyone else I know. Im on a budget and in a hurry

What are the specs on the rest of the computer? If nothing else I'm sure some folks here would be interesting in buying some of the old setup you won't be reusing - help you get towards what you need.

I have a Gforce 720ti graphic card that 5 months old and a corsair 750 watt ps same age 5 months old

Man, I had something similar happen last week. My entire MOBO took a dump without warning. Thankfully, all of my other components were ok, including the CPU. Just got a new MOBO on Thursday and was able to plug everything in and revive my system with some uninstalling of old drivers and installing new ones. Thankfully, Microsoft activated my copies of Windows with no problems (XP & 7) without having to call in.

When I stated I bumped the processor it really wasnt a bump it was a touch and that processor was so loose I wondered how it could have even worked for this long. As most know processors are stubborn to get out most of the time.
