For most people, a 100th birthday would be the most remarkable event of the year.
But for Henry 'Hank' Dixon, and his wife, the former Jeanette Caveness, 2012 will also see their 80th anniversary.
The Akron, Ohio couple will celebrate the impressive milestones surrounded by their four children, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren this year.
Going strong: Hank Dixon kisses his wife, Jeanette, at their apartment in Akron, Ohio. The Dixons are celebrating their 100th birthdays and will reach their 80th wedding anniversary later this year
The first celebration comes next weekend, as they are throwing an invitation-only party on January 15 - the midpoint between their two birthdays.
Mrs. Dixon turned 100 on December 5, while her husband reaches the milestone on February 6.
The couple, who live in an apartment in a retirement home in Akron, were both born in western Texas and met at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas in the late 1920s.
