Does Size Really Matter?: Hunting Calibers and Overkill

the reason as to why i hate some people, i prefer not big & evil, but small & smart... aka i take a 556 round and give it the power of a 50cal... (trade secret...) but yeah, i won't give up a chance to just shoot a gun with a stupid caliber.

I'm on the fence here. I always use the largest caliber with the greatest accuracy for me and my shooting style/experience. However I disagree with the concept that the bigger caliber is the cause for the lesser accuracy and wounding of animals. As with anything practice and experience will make a clean kill regardless of caliber used. In the story he mentions a guy taking a shot with a slug at beyond 100 yards. The excuse the shooter gave him was just ignorance and stupidity on his part. Had he practiced at those ranges he would then know and have the experience to know that that shot was impractical and likely not be a clean kill.
