Sounds like a good segment idea for a MythBusters episode.

Only they will probably mess it up somehow. I lost all respect for those guys when they failed a burglar experiment to cut a hole in glass and instead of saying we fucked up they said BUSTED.

First they couldn't even use a glass cutter, okay so Ive never used one and could probably screw it up too. Second they decide to cut a circle smaller than the plunger they were using and basically suck the glass out. Which is not how it was done in the movie they referenced nor is it how you freaking remove the glass.

From their site:
A glass door can be cut open silently by gently cutting the glass and removing it with a suction cup.
BUSTED
The suction cup could not remove the glass.
One of a shit load of comments (there are better ones):
<cite class="fn">GP</cite> says:
They must have never cut glass by hand before, anyone who does it knows you would have to make the circle you cut in the glass bigger than the plunger, otherwise you could never get enough force to break the circle out of it. And you would probably have to push it through, not pull it towards you. (Such a large mistake for them…)
I just seriously dont see how you watch a movie where a large piece of glass is removed by a small suction cup meant for glass handling and then go about cutting a tiny peice of glass and try sucking it out. Then off claiming we busted the myth. They never even tested the myth since remove the glass without setting off the alarm was the point. They should obviously know the glass CAN be removed and they failed using a kit made for such purpose.

They do alot of good stuff but damn.... I mean just... damn

@Topic thats funny as shit for anyone who isnt him.

Rain, I agree they have messed up that one as well as a few others I can think of off the top of my head but the show is still interesting to watch if not for the science for the entertainment aspect
