Path of Exile

The game is free to download and play and it exceeds Diablo 3 and Diablo 2.

Its an amazing game... the passive skill tree is amazing and allows not 2 people to be the same spec.

I have a lvl 38 Mara 2 handed mace crit/stun/lifesteal.

IF any of you pick this game up, id gladly level another character with you, let me know :D

I rerolled twice because you Cannot buy or get Full Respecilizations so if you like Skill tree teching and crafting this game rocks. If your not sure i can always help, ill be online tonight.

Right on :D , Currency in the game is all ORBS and Scrolls. I think scrolls of wisdom are the starting currency.

But makes sure you collect as many orbs as possible, also keep every rare you find dont sell them. You can exchange them as a group once you get a full set.
 
Downloading now at work....need to get my wife to turn on my computer at home so I can remote in and start the download there.
 
Yeah this game definitely beats Diablo 3.I cant say it beat Diablo 2 because i played that when i was just a little boy so its a childhood memory.Path of Exile is definitely worth playing though.I like your thought on the games w@fles :)
 
Been playing on and off for closed beta, once it went open beta I started grinding hardcore league, went ranger->templar-> and now I'm leveling up a blood magic marauder. If you play hardcore and want to party hit me up on steam.
 
I dont run in through Steam, not sure how you got it through steam.

Why blood magic? are you supporting alot of aura's or something?

My Mara dosnt seem to need BM

BM is always a keystone for my hardcore marauder builds, removes the need for mana and lets you focus purely on life, life regen, 2h maces, and stun threshold so you can just spam ground slam / leap slam and steamroll the entire game. I just run the game externally through steam, steam is just convenient way of communicating and linking up since chars have different names and I haven't tried the friend system in-game yet.
 
Ive noticed leap slam ablity does alot of damage, do you know if its aoe?

For single target i use Double strike +physical dmg gem, nd Sweep/Groundslam + Firedamage gem (lava lash) for AOE.

Im focusing damage Mace, everything to do with 2 handed mace, Was thinking lifesteal and armor/hitpoints for survivablity.

Whatcha think sword

Leap Slam does aoe damage in a limited area around where you land, it has higher damage on impact than ground slam but its dps is lower due to the casting time required. It's extremely useful for getting in and out of situations, and is also great for dealing some quick damage with the slam before hopping back out. I don't know anything about melee spells because in hardcore melee range is pretty much a death sentence as far as I've found without some form of cheese, but groundslam is definitely the go to marauder spam with as many damage affixes as you can slap on it, preferably with different elements for each slot. 2H Maces are the marauder best in slot weapon due to the stun threshold and possible 6 link find so putting points in them is a safe bet, though in hardcore you never go for damage until you've maxed out what you want for survivability.
 
Well im not in hardcore, I have my defence line all the way out to diamond skin, then my other one branches close to BM then up to the crit to the left off the templar tree.

Getting Mace damage and stun all the way.
 
I played for a bit last night, very interesting. Going to take me a while to get a hang of things, but I think I'll get into it within a few days.
 
The game is rather complicated so feel free to ask questions :D
