going in for a 2nd surgery monday

I have ten plus fractures in my wrist and the bones are not holding in place . They are now going to put a steal plate and pins in my wrist , this means cutting the bone and cutting the fragments out , attaching a steal plate and pins to " hopefully " hold it all together so it will heal correctly . I am very depressed and scared shitless about it. 6-8 weeks just increased to another 4 weeks heal time . life sucks sometimes :(
 
The short term of that sucks, but trust me you want that surgery to stabilize the wrist. I had 5 breaks in the wrist and lots of ligament damage years ago and never had it stabilized -- now the mobility is so limited I can't play guitar effectively with my daughter and the damn thing will shift in socket sometime while working out. The short term sucks, but you want that thing taken care of.
 
I hope your surgery goes well and that you have a speedy recovery.
 
gotta rig up an RCdevice so you can fly man! Go easy fewbs, dont get cabin fever once you heal up enough to walk around!

Short term suckage for sure, but sounds like it'll be a good fix. Heal quick!
 
Hey, another 4 weeks is not so bad. You'll do fine, just look on the positive side that it's being taken care of correctly now. At one point, I was in casts for 30 weeks in a row. It could ALWAYS be worse. Take care, and good luck on the surgery.

thanks for the kind words everyone , and yes Snakebabies I hooked up my peddles for throttle control just wish these joysticks were made for the left hand also , but I am learning to fly left handed atm
