Title says it all. Going to fly to Chicago from Dallas tomorrow around 5am and I'll be gone for the next ~4 days! Might still be active on the website when relevant, on TS not so much.

Where about in Chicago are you going? You should hit up Sid and Chuck while you're there.

Don't think I can. I'll be in DeKalb digging out a 84 monte carlo to restore. I've been waiting two weeks to get my hands on this thing and I'm sure the car's been waiting for me. Been sitting for 11 years and I can't wait to tear it down.

Don't know if you guy's care to see the build. I will have pictures of the build on FB. The plan is to have it done in a month but shit never goes as planed.

If any one is look to buy a 84 monte. Let me know. Last year of the flat nose and it has a sun roof.
 
Well the first day is over and it really was just about as hot as it has been in TX. Still had a good time today! Didnt get shot
 
Don't let Sid scare you -- the place rocks in the summer as long as you stay away from certain areas. Where are you staying (generally speaking, not the I am going to stalk you where are you staying)? My kids LOVE certain areas and I'd be happy to share if you need a pointer or two.

LMAO How can you say "the place rocks and stay away from certain ares". That just sounds silly. I know what your saying. I just hate going to the city these days. D.G.(Burbs) 4TW :) No gangs, no guns or gun shots, no loud ass systems thumping in the night, no syringe needles laying on the ground or baggies and the thing I don't miss the most is hearing people yelling and fighting in the night to the point were the cops have to be called. Nope don't miss it. Sorry I grew up on 47th and maplewood Ave. Guess I'm traumatized.

This news is old but the two on the bike were friend of a friend on FB and I feel bad for them.
 
North Loop by the Magnificent Mile is the area we are staying at. I'd love some suggestions if you have some! I've been to Willis Tower, Lou Malnatis, taken few tours. Just general touristy things so far.
 
Why would you want to go to Chicago? I lived in the western suburbs for most of my life(Addison,Roselle,Bloomingdale,Lombard,Wheaton) I't sucks up there. Now I live in a worse place than that, Southern Alabama.
 
Do you have kids with you? If so how old and do they like museums or sight seeing? That area is great for just hanging out and doing touristy things.
 
Yeah that area rocks, you are real close to the Lincoln Park Zoo, North Avenue beach, Navy Pier, all cool places to see with or without kids. Most of the museum's are on the near south side by the lake, Field museum is is an elite anthropology museum (mummies and such) and the Museum of Science and Industry is incredible and huge. Also the Shedd aquarium and Adler Planetarium are really cool. Lou Malnatis is my favorite deep dish, god I miss pizza.
 
Well there are no kids in our group. We went to the Shedd Aquarium, now. Definitely want to go to the science museum! Going to try Portillos dogs tomorrow.
