What's up, TBG?! <3
I'm 28. I'm tall, dark and handsome. I have a firm but gentle touch. When I crush my manhood against your thigh whilst breathing raggedly against your neck, you'll notice...
No, but seriously... I applied to this prestigious organization after recently getting back into CSS and playing primarily on your server. I'm open to try any game, and I see you guys cover your bases quite well. Up until last night, I hadn't even heard of Arma 3! I'm such a n00b. -_-
I play a lot of StarCraft II and Diablo III. I know, Diablo III, right? That game sucks! That's what I used to think, after having quit shortly after its inception due to lack of end-game content. While there's still a cripplingly shallow end-game, since they revamped it by adding 100 new Paragon levels and Monster Power 0-10, it's fairly entertaining once more. I only play Hardcore, and it's the only game I've found that actually makes me become borderline obsessive while playing. (Hey, when you log almost 300 hours into a single character, you don't want to lose it. ;-))
In StarCraft II, I'm a mere Gold level player after having completed my placement matches. Playing ladder makes me RAGE SO HARD, so I generally stay away from it. I play a decent amount of Unranked against fairly competent players, so I'm not a total n00b. (At least, I hope not...)
But at the end of the day, CS and CSS have always maintained a spot near to my heart. My first really competitive game that I played all through my teenage years. For some reason, I always find myself coming back to this game. It's like that girlfriend that you absolutely can't stand, swears in front of your parents and beats your three children after a five day drunken binge with her girlfriends at Chippendale's, but... she swallows. *ahem* There's nothing quite as satisfying as a completely random 180? deagle headshot from 300 yards. Oh, memories...
Anyway, I've rambled long enough. See you guys out there!
P.S: I've read in a few introductory threads people posting what they do BESIDES sitting in front of their computer. ;-) I run heavy equipment for a living, and I do a lot of rotational camp work in western Canada. I get paid a lot more money for working across country (I live in Nova Scotia), and I sometimes disappear for 14-28 days. I've run tower cranes in the past, but I specialize in mobile cranes. I do a lot of work in the oil and gas industry performing capacity lifts that can exceed 1500 tons. It's a lot of fun and pays really, really well. I'd highly recommend the younger crowd looking into it as a career, as you won't have tens of thousands of dollars owing to the bank when you walk out of school, and you'll pay off your tuition the first month you're out on the field!
Aside from gaming, my other hobby is motorcycles. I own a 2009 Suzuki Hayabusa that I recently dumped. An older gentleman was backing out of his driveway as I happened to be riding by his house and I ended up swerving to avoid him only to instead fly into the ditch. It's all good though, as he agreed to pay me for any damages. Parts are on order, and I'll be back on the road in a week or two. :-D
