Here's a funny vid about gorges carrying out guerrilla tactics. Placing hydras on clogs up high and removing clog connecting to the wall when the marines come so the clogs/hydras fall to the ground and surprise them.

Some other tips I've come across on the forums:
Making a clog bunker before you bile a power-node.
Hiding yourself in a clog and spitting people (although this feels exploitative).
Stacking hydras together on clogs (also kinda feels exploitative).
When you're running away from a marine, quickly place a 2-high clog stack, jump on it, and belly slide off it, to get a bigger speed boost on the bellyslide. (credit to MaximumSquid for these).
If you're being shot down and going to die and in landing pad or crevice or something, jump down the bottomless pit aiming for one of the walls. Aim slightly below you on the wall and place a clog to save yourself from falling. If you're lucky, the marine won't notice you didn't die (leaving you free to clog climb back up to solid ground).
