Words associated with the Hunger Games series written by Suzanne Collins, made into movies starring Jennifer Lawrence of Fappening fame. When Battlefield 4 released it's Phantom Bow, I was reminded of the trailers and things I had seen on the internet (Fun Fact: I have never seen the Hunger Games). I suggested while we were farming our Tags to get our Phantom Bows on the server I purchased for us to get our bows that it would be fun to go into Forest Maps and kill eachother, and others agreed. So we went on to have the First TBG Hunger Games on 11/25/2014. It was a hit, and a lot of fun!

After the Hit that was the First TBG Hunger Games, I decided we should definitely do this again, and We certainly did! The games got bigger. We had Prizes! I streamed the entire thing, though I am well aware nobody watched (I tried!). Once again it was a major success. A big thanks to @Krazy_fanboy for the generous donations of drawing prizes. Seeing how everyone was having a good time and prizes went off without a hitch, I knew the games needed to expand. I needed to make it so more could participate.

Here I am planning February's Games. I know the overhaul would take more than just making it go beyond bows, beyond the Hunger Games theme. So First, I will go over that. Starting in February I will be rebranding the event to 'The Bungie Games.' (This is my only chance to stroke my ego). I know that with a new name I could go along to create more 'events' if you will. That's when I remembered one of my favorite Netflix Finds, (2000) Battle Royale!

Battle Royale is a Japanese film. Here is the shortened story line from IMDb:

Forty-two students, three days,one deserted Island: welcome to Battle Royale. A group of ninth-grade students from a Japanese high school have been forced by legislation to compete in a Battle Royale. The students are each given a bag with a randomly selected weapon and a few rations of food and water and sent off to kill each other in a no-holds-barred (with a few minor rules) game to the death, which means that the students have three days to kill each other until one survives--or they all die.

I believe this may have partially influenced the Hunger Games. I also think this would be an excellent addition to the Bungie Games! Here is what I thought about for rules of Bungie's Battle Royale. First, I feel that Domination would be an excellent mode for this. A nice change of pace from the Deathmatches we had in the past. Now for where I draw the real inspiration from the movie.

Before the games I will be building a Random Loadout for every Primary Weapon in the game. Each Primary getting a random Sidearm, gadgets, grenades, spec upgrades. One Shotguns, DMR's and Carbines I would randomize which class it would fall under and go from there. All of this would be done using an RNG Before the round starts, each player would be assigned a loadout number. This would correspond to a loadout list I have built and published for easy reading. Each player lock on their loadout and the Domination round begins.

Example: Primary- AUGA3; Secondary- Shorty 12g; G1- M320 Dart; G2- DS-3 Decoy; Grenade- M18 Smoke; Upgrade- Shadow

I thought this would be a great addition to the event. I would plan to hold 4-6 rounds of Battle Royale, and then host 4-6 round of our standard Hunger Games. I love that too much to give it up completely. So here is where you come in! I have set up polls. I need your votes! Tell me do you like the Battle Royale idea? Should we do both? Stick to what we have done best?

My opinion is to change it up this turn around with BR, might as well give it our all!
 
well I dont have a bow so I cant compete...I wont get the bow cuz you have to have previous phantom acheivments right?
 
bungiee will set his server two days prior so anyone who doesn't have the bow has the oppertunity to get the bow
and a lot of memebers will help if you do need these get 15 of us to help and all those achievement done in half hour :)

well i guess you need all of the previous phantom assignnments to get hte bow right?

@Snakebabies find me on TS anytime. I will help you unlock your phantom assignments so you can begin progression.

You will have a month to get the 200 kills you need with pistols, LMG,s and AR's.
 
I have ZERO..ZILCH..NONE..NEIN phantom assignments done over the entirety of BF4

Bungie, just remember some people will not have all the guns unlocked. I know I'm still finishing up the 'normal' guns myself, and there is one via assignments that I have yet to unlock as well.
 
If you did not have a primary you would reroll. Pistols I am working that out.
 
so anxious for this!!! we need to get more people in here this time! calling all HAs, founders, admins, guests, enemies of the state!
