For the last 12 months I have been assigned to GW University in DC and while my contract was extended I won't be there too much longer. As much as they love me they don't love my employer and the money people don't care what they are losing.

So it looks like we are going to move into my grandmothers old house. My father is having it converted back to its 1972 4 bedroom configuration. I kind of knew I was going to have to downsize wherever we moved and the gaming setup would have to become part of the living room.

Not sure how to make it work. These were the two ideas I have been playing with so far.

An older picture but close enough to my current setup

second one, its gonna be tighter in general, but everything flows together much better. Besides you can concentrate better watching tv without looking at your monitor constantly

first 1 would fit surround sound better but i dont know if you are running a 5.1 system.....i ended up with the TV over my monitors because i wanted to use my 5.1 set up for gaming audio as well as using it for movies and TV.....but the problem i ran in to being tall was i cut the bottom of the TV off for the people sitting on the couch...but on the good side i can use my sound system with ether computer, cable box or the bluray player in the Xbox ONE behind the coke cup.....a wall mount would be all you need and it looks like ether set up will need 1...something to think about......but i also dont know if you want people seeing what is on your computer screens when they are watching TV.....(i dont have to care about this as this is only my space).....on side note i will be walling this section of the garage off soon to put in a A/C......never really minded the summers but trying to game on PC when its 50 degrees outsude sucks with cold fingers......oh and the bong in front of the gaming computer is for tobacco purposes only.....HEHE....(its not legal in my state)

now i dont know where windows are and still not sure the those are stairs but this is a option for layout....the little book case could go under the wall mounted TV or it could be turned on its side to make it narrow but taller in the corner where you always have the desk inbetween the door (i forgot to draw) and the corner.....this would open the room up a lot more and you could keep all your monitors on your desk....just a idea

i was just skimming through the website and i just gotta say thats a sweet setup...im guessing you also play flight simulators (multi screens)...was just wondering if you do, are they really worth the purchase?

Shit thats for software development and video editing. I got 7 of the HP LP2065's for free. Originally had 4 at home and 3 at work and my boss told me to get rid of my old ass monitors lol. I haven't done flight simulators in years. Back in the day 7 1600x1200 20" panels would have been a dream though.

I typically don't utilize more than 3 at a time which is why when the Mac was upgraded to a 27 inch i moved the stack to the middle and split them between me and the wife.

Nice setup! What is the end goal for the layout? Is this just for gaming, or do you want to create an entertainment center?

The goal is to have a house to live in... lol

Not serious about it but as a design challenge I have started drafting a tiny house. Maximum road legal width and height and probably pretty close to length for certain scenarios as well. Gooseneck with a 30' main deck which in the first iteration has the master bed on the addition. The challenge is keeping 6.5' ceilings and having anything left over for a 2nd loft bed. Not ready to show anything yet but this is the trailer with the mockup safe margins on it (roof is hidden atm).
