Hey guys!
Some of you may already know that I'm going back to school to study Computer and Network Technology. I'm trying to raise some money to help fund my tuition for school. So i had an idea, what sort of out of the box things can i do to help raise some money? One of the ideas i came up with is to start a GoFundMe campaign. Please take a look at the link provided. Or find me on Facebook. Anything you may be able to offer is greatly appreciated. Also please share this link with everyone and everywhere you know!

Thank you so very much!

PS-I got permission from the Founders to post this here. So thank you @Soulzz and @x=FAST=x !!!

I will kick in when I can. I know how hard it is to go back and that there are like zero financial resources available for retraining and such.

Thank you so very much! I have a very hard time asking people for things. Especially asking people for money. I have always been an independent person, and i am always helping others out with whatever i can. So even just the though of someone donating to me is an incredible thing.

Yes it is. Applying for them takes a long time. My overall tuition is over $20,000. The donations i'm asking for will cover the private loan i have. The rest is federal loans that kick in 6 months after i graduate.

If it's undergrad and you're broke enough then you should be able to get grants, talk to the financial aid office, if it's post grad stuff the it's a really expensive loan, whatever you do don't take a private loan, the interest rates might be lower but you would rather deal with a government loan due to the fact they are more forgiving, I've heard some real horror stories with people who took out private loans. I've been out of school for over a year and haven't had to pay anything back yet.

I've heard some horror stories as well. But the private loan is from the school itself. No interest while i'm a student there.

Congrats on making the choice to head back. Will kick in when i can for ya.

Just curious are you going back to school just for computer networking? or are you going to specialize.

The course is a generalized computer course. The title can be misleading sometimes. Should just be called Computers and Networking. Networking is part of it, the rest is hardware and software. The goal of these courses is to get you into a good entry level job (With training and certifications of course) in the field that you want.

Looks like a good solid way to get started out in computers especially if you pass the cert exams.. One of the best things you can learn is how to Google the problem. Seriously i get 90% of the solutions to my crazy problems off of Google.

I am currently enrolled and working on a computer degree also. I have been going for a couple of years now. I started when I was 44 so it is never really too late. I actually already have a job and have not even completed my school. I am attending a Community College and in my last semester. I am about to start for the local school department as soon as they finish my FBI background check. I have help from military service so that is nice, but I also get pell grants and I receive them after a month or so of being in school. I don't see what you can't get that kind of help. It is money that does not have to be paid back either. Good luck Sir!!
