MatthewC pm'd Cotton who pm'd me expecting me to do a hostile takeover of googles operations so I could fix the internet.
valid.canardpc.com is the site for CPU-Z validation results. If someone has a result in their sig or post and that loads up then there is content coming from that URL. Now its easily possible for a valid site to be attacked and put on a malware list until they clear it up.
But the fact is a shit ton of people did not get the message, so id have to laugh it off. Its not like it was put on the list for a millisecond and removed for the 10th time in a year so, be warned or laugh with me I could care less.
Quick google turns this case up for a few people:
Google Chrome malware warning for TPU? - techPowerUp! Forums
Only solution if it does become an issue is to ban the url. As I said personally I haven't seen it. Other browsers will do the same thing if the site is on their providors lists as well of course.
Edit - I looked up the site Google apparently uses and ran the site through their database and it comes up clean - http://www.stopbadware.org/clearinghouse/search?url=valid.canardpc.com
