Intel's Core i7-5960X CPU has already been overclocked to 6.2GHz

6.2GHz has already been achieved on the upcoming Haswell-E based Intel Core i7-5960X. Early benchmarks show it is around 14% faster than the 4960X in games, around 20% faster in 4K video editing and roughly 32% faster in 3D rendering.

not sure if the 1200 dollar plus premium is worth it though... 400 for the motherboard, then another 600 for the cheapest processor, and finally about 200 for DDR4 ram.
