From Game Booster 3 Free Download, Speed Up PC for Top Gaming Performance

Cool little doobrie I found. Runs in the background or on demand and kills a shiteload of unnecessary tasks when it's time to play. Fully configurable; it can kill Windows Services as well as programs like bittorrent or Skype. You can add or remove anything you like from the list Here's the clever bit: It restarts them all when you exit the game. Includes temperature monitors and a driver scanner too.

Catch is, it's only free till the end of the month. Worth a looksie.
 
I wouldn't use something like that, way to risky.
 
i used something like this from download.com way back in the day, i couldn't tell a difference really but i had a shitty pc at the time :D

I just don't bother with this kind of things. I don't use playclaw, fraps nothing. Unless i need to make a video.
 
all 3'd party tools have a risk as being detected as a cheat by punkbuster.
 
Game Booster is fine with PB, its a commercial product and doesn't interfere with BF3's code at all. I am using an anti alias injector to allow the use of a more efficient type of AA...no probs. Just do your due diligence.

I used Google and read a great deal about these things before hand.

The FXAA injector really does make BF3 look awesome. And all GameBooster does is close down programs and services, something you could do yourself if it was worth the hassle. I reckon it's worth about 5 FPS on my machine, and maybe 30 seconds on map loads.
 
Rails I am confused BF3 supports FXAA natively, is it because you are on AMD or something? Nvidia also in the 300 series drivers now supports FXAA in games that do not have it.

I looked into it. Seems PB is not at a consensus on whether or not they allow it. Most said that it is not allowed on any PB server, others have said that at most it would be a restriction kick. But supposedly it makes the game look amazing.

Mine's not the FXAA injector...it's the SMAA injector, although I have the FXAA one. It does make a difference.
 
The injector FXAA's the frame with its own shaders, which have been configured to look more realistic. There's a video of the 'real life mod' which is basically the FXAA injector combined with no HUD.
