Is BF2 as good as you remember?

I love his comment about the jets - They leave a trail of butthurt in their wake.

I thought BF2 was fun, but I think all the battlefields that followed gave the series some improvements it desperately needed. It was fun though to dolphin dive and C4 the hell out of people from like 30 feet away.

all hte battlefields that followed were because of hardware/software improvements "due to time evolving"

**edit** i would totally play the fuck out of BF2....i have like 2 copies of theshit!

I believe bf2 would have been a lot more fun with the more advanced unlocks systems that bf3/4 have. I hated having to use an m16 every time I was on the USMC team. I also liked that there were way less fancy gadgets too.

It was the first sandbox FPS I ever played, some good times on there as a wee lad aye.

you could have used the G36C or the L85???????????? omg! but m16 was OP so I understand.

Never tried PR, have some buddies that played it religiously a while back. Just never could get back into old FPS games, even modded versions.

Rather have the memories playing em as a kid, haha.

I used to love to dive and roll at the same time. It was easy to get kills while they spammed bullets that never seemed to hit you. And the jets were awesome. IDK what he was talking about them not being part of the game. Two good pilots and you owned Wake for the most part. I remember my best run in a jet on Wake, 75 kills zero deaths, never shot down and no more kills because the tickets ran out :) Those were the days.

I prefer BC2 and BC2: Vietnam. Still long for time on those games. Too bad they r on my ps3... ugh

I really fell in love with bf2 maps.

BF2 was a gem because it's gameplay mechanics and map design decisions weren't being influenced from the COD competition, as is the status quo. BF2 had it's own identity, can't say that entirely for BF3 and 4, they have been "COD'ified."

DICE needs to grow a pair and not shape their designs differently because they feel COD threatens the Battlefield franchise sales, it's two totally different types of gamers that each game appeals to, the two franchises can and do co-exist.

I'll give them props for the Bad Company games though, those are absolutely brilliant.
