HAHAHA. What are the odds! I have the worst luck ever. Just tryin to enjoy my night and watch some football while eating some dinner and this happens. A local, yes local station (offered free through antenna) is fighting with Directv over prices. FML.....

Nevermind, I just looked at the pic and saw you were looking at NBC. How can they block a free OTA channel? Time to bust out the antenna.
 
They (LOCAL NBC) claim that when Directv signed with AT&T they promised shareholders a significant increase in revenue by cutting what they pay to stations/channels. Both sides are pointing at the other as to why the channel was taken away and it's been like this for over a month now. I just realised that there are NFL games on NBC (Sunday Night Football). They better figure this shit out soon. P.S. I don't have an antenna.... :(
 
I have one of those flat antennas to supplement my DirecTV as they compress the hell out of the signal which gives me better HD for the local channels and I don't have to worry about blackouts.
 
You can buy a flat hd a tenns on amazon for about $25. I'm actually going to get one tomorrow. Will let you know how it works if you'd like.

Generally don't even need an "HD Antenna". I have a good old fashion collapsible antenna that came with a USB tuner a decade ago, probably not the best design for the job but it picks up all the ATSC HD channels in the area.

You political, news watching mother fuckers can't tell me you are surprised. I never watch the news and even I heard gas was going to go down. For us not in expensive area's they said 2 dollars a gallon and it probably will hit that. Has fallen atleast 20 cents in the last month.
