Seventy years ago on Friday, so the BBC have been showing this documentary about D-Day for the past couple of days. It's pretty in-depth (two hours in total), and as it's a British production it covers a lot of things that might be unfamiliar to you lot. I'm not sure how well-known things like Pegasus Bridge and the Funnies are over there. The first part covers stuff like Dieppe, Exercise Tiger and the planning phase of Overlord and the second is a walkthrough of the landings themselves.
Anyway, I thought it might be of interest to some of you fellas. I watched it last night, and I was really impressed.
If you know your way around proxies and so on, you might try streaming it from the iplayer website:
