We pay for box so servers itself is free.

But for those who dont use pay per slot......like us.......The tax fee for hosting bf4 servers on a dedicated box will cost more per slot now.
Example currently EA/ DICE charges 16 dollars for 64 slots 8 dollars for 32 and so on.

So it will be more than 16 per server. I'm assuming we are only hosting 64s.

Meh, just means fewer servers. We only use 4 for BF3 as it is now so it'll probably even out and we won't have one sitting empty. The down side is coming to a consensus about what maps to run on what server.
 
Or more in donations from our active members. I don't know what our current overall costs are....are our monthly costs roughly equal to our current monthly goal?

Its roughly equal. I'll watch how it goes the first two month. I don't think it should be a problem but a bitch on their part to milk more money for hosting servers on our box.

Yes probably trying to discourage the influx of servers...this shouldn't prevent us from hosting at least 5 servers. We are going all in!

List of accepted GSP. Wow art of war central did not make the cut?? Shitty GSP but still they are well known for providing ranked games. I guess they did something they shouldn't have. Maybe for the beta only but still bad for business if you are trying to promote your server during the beta.

Thinking about modes, if we host a CQ server that actually gets some attention/participants I'd say the best player count is 48 unless they drastically increase map size. BF3 CQ was designed for 32 players and most of the 64 player servers lag badly.
 
Here is the complete list. Might not be a good idea. Promotes more frequent attacks to any location since more clients will be switching over most likely.

I hope the list expands and not make overwhelming for our provider, they already hired 3 more people for support (probably noobs for now)


So they cut the ranked GSP list down and increase tax fee per server for dedicated server owners...still not sure why pull a stunt like this.
 
I think we should have a server for the tbg vs tbg things that we do which should b more often in bf4 :D
