Well Im compiling a list of things Id either like, considered or have planed to look further into. This is just ideas Im throwing around so if you have suggestions or alternatives let me know although Im a huge fanboy I will consider trying other brands.

  1. Buy a new keyboard (looking at Corsair K90)
  2. If not wc I want to atleast get a second gpu to get other monitor up for forums editing
  3. Buy a new router (looking at asus RT-AC3200)
  4. Buy new motherboard (need to see if this gigabyte mb is root of my troubles, looking at asus maximus vii gene or hero depending if I go micro with wc option)
  5. Thought about watercooling cpu and 2x gpu
More to come

Watercooling is great, but trust me it gets very very expensive and addictive I set myself a goal of spending no more than £350 I ended up paying £710 ($1110).

Keyboard is a good choice, why would you need another GPU for an additional monitor? how many screens are you currently using? I personally hate gigabyte boards I have been through 3, 2 of which turned faulty and the other was always re-setting my overclock. Never had any issues with 5 asus boards.

350D is a good case but I would get something bigger if your looking to watercool get something with at least room for one 360mm rad, especially if your planning watercooling 2 GPU's in which case get one with room for a 360 rad and another 240 minimum.

$1100 in wc is nuts! I couldn't get myself comfortable enough to spend that on one thing like water cooling.

Keyboard seems the most plausible item next to be ordered.
I currently have one 27" monitor that I game on, there's a 24" and 20" in closet I'd like to connect either one up so I can do a bit of multitasking when I'm doing my forum duties. I've tried using two monitors on my single 7950 but it seems to lag me down a little. Then again it might be my gigabyte mb having a hissy fit.

A new mb might be a option since I have two other 7950s that ive rma'd three times now but since I tested on this gig mb it might be the true problem.

I've decided to hold off on the 350d, I'm a case hoarder and have to many. I currently have corsair 540 I just thought to look at something smaller

Decent all in one coolers run up to $160.00 lately and that's just for the cpu.
You can get a kit to starter water cooling for about $250. If you want to water cool the video card, plan on spending about $130 more for a water block for the cpu.

This is a great kit that has everything to get you going on the cheap. The downside to this one is it has a bay reservoir which takes up 2 slots but for $169 with fittings.

A nicer kit with compression fittings and a nicer reservoir and pump. $260 http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...ng_Kit_EK-KIT_L360.html?tl=g30c321s1367#blank

Another nice kit that won't break the bank. $240 http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2...CXT_-_Complete_Kit.html?tl=g30c321s1793#blank

Agreed, you can build a very nice water cooling kit for less than $350, nice list btw Sixy. Hell, I went the extremely lazy route and bought http://www.anandtech.com/show/8841/...ler-and-hg10-n780-edition-gpu-cooling-bracket for $140. Granted, it's cpu only, but keeps my 'clocked 4770 @ less than 35 whilst gaming.

Thanks sixer tbh I might move wc to the last of the list and try some little things I know I can do and wont screw up :)

I thought the same thing, but definitely worth the anticipation of the unknown. Too much research info about WCing on the youtube these days to not be unprepared :)

**edit** caveat: get a roll of bounty paper towels. Once you perform your leak test and all is dry and flowing well, it's all downhill, nothing to worry about. Lower temps=longer component life.

Unless you do rigid tubing :p Honestly, when I started this with the rigid tubing there were literally 2 videos on how to do it and only 1 of them actually showed somebody doing it. But for standard water cooling, there are literally thousands of videos to show you how to set up everything step by step.

I love the idea of having a true WC and building it. but the money + time investment for the payoff doesn't add up for me. Love seeing your guys builds though.

on another note, I have the N66 versions of that asus router and love it.
