There were thousands of bikes there, quick 3 hour ride to Galveston from where I live spent a few hours there and came back. Rode in with a dozen or so others from Louisiana.

Man I do too. I used to ride all the time when I was in the Army. I sold my bike when my daughter was born.

If you are a motorcycle enthusiast, its something you must do at some point in your life. Bike week in Daytona is rediculous, and you dont have to wear a helmet! Unless they've changed that law since the last time I was there.
