I downloaded the two patches game and origin and downloaded premium as well. now while playing my machine crashes. this only happens when i am in game. i have run my machine for hours and no problem, a random amount of time in bf4 and crash. the crash is a black screen and then an automatic reboot. I have updated EVERYTHING, hell i went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling the game and the same result. my event monitor says bf4.exe error. anybody got any ideas? anybody else having the same problem?

I had issues running mantle on the AMD 14.1 beta drivers. I rolled back to 13.12 and that seemed to help.

Well i run a GTX 260 card with the current drivers... You only crash when running BF4 ? Look at the patch notes for BF4 and see if there is an addition to the graphic capability. Do you run on the lowest setting for BF4? I have had some weird driver crashes and system locking up but no instant reboots.

The 14.1 drivers are really, REALLY bad. I'm not sure what they are like for MantleBF4, but the d3d/ogl performance is beyond shit and you should uninstall them right now if you play any d3d/ogl games.

was running the beta driver uninstalled completely and reinstalled 13.12 and drum roll............. the flipping thing still crashed :-(

reading various threads this latest patch is causing problems just like every patch they throw at us. the biggest complaint is game freezing, mine is computer crashing. i hope they release a new patch this week, maybe the next issue won't include my machine crashing.

The last set of beta drivers trashed my computer so badly I had to reformat my drives and reinstall EVERYTHING. I will not download drivers for BF anymore, if NVidia releases drivers for my card that have nothing to do with BF then I will install them. I wish we could uninstall EA from earth.

IDK, usually when you get a crash like that while gaming your PSU is on it's way out the door. How old is yours, and what are you running?

sadly enough i need more power captain 750 watts is not enough for my new video card its pushed to the limits XD i cant wait

It happens with new ones sometimes; I bought a new one in May/June of 2013 and 3 months later started getting exactly what you're describing. I thought it might be drivers too until it did it again with a puff of smoke and the smell of burned wires the next time my system shut down. Long story short, I got that replaced with a new one and have not had any problems since, but the PSU was the problem.

Oh, you can always get a PSU tester to see if anything's faulty. They're like $20 if you don't already have one but it's a quick way to see if there's something wrong with the PSU.

thanks for the info sixer i will have to look into it asap. this morning i was online for a couple of hours zero problems and then logged onto BF4 to see what would happen. i was in game for a few seconds and crash. auto reboot and have been on line ever since and zero problems. i'm hoping its the game and not a hardware issue.

Yeah, same thing I had happening too. I hope it's the drivers, but if not at least you can find out cheaply and contact Thermaltake to get a replacement.

Does it crash on other games? or does it run just fine. You can stress test the video card that should get the same results if the PSU isn't able to keep up
