Hi all,

I know, I know, is an old game, but there is a few of us that are trying to keep the game alive, including TBG with this server. The thing is, the current map rotation is not helping to keep the population alive. We are getting maps way too big with very low player count. Players want to kill other players, they want phew phew phew and kill people, but when the player count is low and the maps are big, they hardly find people to kill. Then they start to get bored runing from flag to flag without killing enemies and left the server. My sugestion is to install a map manager plugin, (something like Ultimate Map Manager should do the work - download link is in the last comment made by Prophet in that page-) and rotate the maps and game modes according to player count.

This last time also we have been seen a bunch of new accounts and seems like most of them don't have DLC's.

With that in consideration, my sugestion is:

- 0 to 24 players: Noshahr Canals TDM, Seine Crossing conquest small, Grand Bazar conquest small.
- 24 to 48 players: Seine Crossing, Grand Bazar, Metro. All of them in conquest large.
- 48 to 64 players: Seine Crossing, Grand Bazar, Metro, Tehran Highway, Air maps from vanilla (Caspian Border, Kharg Island, Operation Firestorm, Noshahr Canals), DLC maps. Vanilla maps in conquest large, DLC maps in conquest large or mixed modes according to his size.

12 gauge tax atached because 870 is the Queen and why not.

That's all. Thanks for your time.

EDIT: added Tehran Highway and names of vanilla air maps.

Cant have those maps just for seeding and then have them disappear, they will come back into rotation when the server has players and can get congested. Some plugins no longer work for this game. Some map setup you mentioned when has a lot of players wont be fun with lots of spamming etc.

What I could do is make Ziba tower - conquest domination and add canal TDM to the start of the rotation, thse maps will come back once the entire rotation is complete.

The server is already on thin ice cause it’s quite time consuming to maintain, ensure it’s being restarted regularly.

Not to mention new server owner in town with their minions called « 4net » who thinks TBG attacks their server, bunch of clowns I might add and slandering us. Welcome to BF3, that’s been going on for a decade…

I realize I’m not going to keep everyone happy. Everyone wants something different but I’m growing impatient after many years so we need to just keep the server running as one way and call it a day. Never mind the cost associated with it

I'm just glad this server is still alive. I appreciate and find it refreshing the fact that the server currently plays more of what BF3 has to offer. For a 14 year old game there really is no excuse for anyone to own the whole game. Just find it frustrating they still sell it in pieces.

Your patients and time doesn't go unnoticed Matt. Thanks go to you and your donators for keeping this server alive as long as it has.

I'm thankful for 14 years of consistently good and well managed BF3 servers from TBG, and commend them for keeping it going to the bitter end, however much longer that may be. It's a truly thankless task they have handled well.
Personally, I uninstalled a few weeks ago after tbagging Skarren in the exact same nest of his for the 900th time. The core player base is simply too low now for a consistently good play session unless you're at the tiny weekend peak window. Otherwise it's just not worth it. Not to mention, even with a full server, the play quality/lack of PTFO is now disastrous. I'll leave with good memories rather than keep going until the bitter end. No amount of map playlist tinkering can save it now, in my opinion. Good luck to those of you still willing to find a good game amongst the nonsense.

And BF6, when it arrives with perfect bug free gameplay, will likely destroy whatever BF3 player base remains.
