I was at the range today with one of my buddies. I did this on the first or second clip. (I've fired shotguns before but this is my first with a rifle.) The rifle was from WW2 so, if I had to guess, it was a Gewehr 98.

Fun times.

Yeah--pretty smooth. A few small issues. If it was my rifle, I'd see about replacing the ammo spring or the bolt. I scored a couple shells when the bolt didn't catch properly. Or maybe it was a problem with the ammo--dunno. It was a fun gun. Next time I go, there might be other firearms (an AR-15 among others).
