Melee/Knife Question

I was on Naval Stick last night and the enemy was in one of those wood towers on the beach. I went up the ladder and stood directly behind them and start knifing and melee. I'd say for maybe 15 seconds or more and they turned around and shot me. Is that a hack or just a glitch? Same thing happened last week with a soldier on the ground.
I should have just shot them.

You probably just glitched on something and was hitting an invisible object instead of him. If nobody could hit him.. then... but we would need video to ban or warn if it was not intended glitch.
