GAAAARRR!!!!!!!
I'm so god damn livid right now, I had company over just a short while ago, and I left with my buddy to go pick up something at his place, got back, and just about smacked an 8 year old.
His wife, and their 8 year old son were left at my place with a couple other friends and my brother, the kid was downstairs messing around on my PS3,(Which I had my laptop right next to) aparently my brother left the kid alone, which I specifically told him NOT to do, but anyways, I get back, go to boot up my laptop, and what do I see "No operating system found"... I had to do a double take to make sure what I was seeing was real, my personal laptop, with Tf2, 1000's of movies and 100's of game on suddenly decided to just format it's partition on a whim??? So I immediately ask my brother if he did something, seeing as he's the only person with my login details, and he told me he hasn't touched it at all.
Meanwhile I'm going into panic mode because I've lost all that stuff (Luckily I've got all my work stuff backed up to my cloud drive) that I had, so the kid is standing there looking guilty as fuck, because he was specifically to NOT touch the laptop except if I was there ((He was playing some games earlier on it)) so I asked him "Did you touch my laptop?" to which he just looked down at the ground. Now, I know it's my fault for leaving that laptop out, but you'd think a kid would have enough common sense to not touch something if I tell him not to....but I digress.
He had seen me boot up my laptop earlier with a USB drive that has my boot key files on (Boot up security) so he thought to himself, "Maybe if I plug the USB in and start the computer up, I can play" well, it turns out that he didn't just boot from USB, he decided to boot from my DBAN USB, (Deriks Boot N Nuke) which I'm sure you can all guess what it does....
So I may be offline for a couple days, luckily I've got my bootable Kali on USB, which is what I'm posting this from, so It'll be some time before I get everything back up and in working order. Hopefully I can get it all running by the 12th when my trial is up, if I can't I'll let you guys know.
