Old(er) story. She didn't take the "usual" $3500-or-so settlement and decided to go to court with the RIAA... 1 or 2 years later, this...

I dont understand this bullshit. If she had gone into a store and stolen 2 cds, she would have gotten a slap on the wrist. Why are we punishing people who illegally download music more than people who commit murder? The punishment is supposed to fit the crime. Unfortunately the legal system is bending over for the RIAA and MPAA and forgetting that important fact.

It's obvious the punishment is disproportionate. It's just an unfortunate (for her) case of "let's make a public example of this dumb bitch that dares to take us to court" by the RIAA.

Could not agree more, although I would like to know who the jury was.

Probably x=fast=x new girlfriend.........

Well musicians are the ones who are complaining as well. But goes to show you what greedy people do, and taking all measures to make bank. Not to mention they have concerts and tons of people go to em anyways because of the entertainment purposes. Those concerts believe it or not make up for all those who are illegally downloading music. Wish they would stop whining and complaining and making a huge fuss about this bs.
