OK! It's time to start recording the soundtrack for the Boom de Yada video. For those who haven't seen the original yet:

Tastey found the instrumental for us, which means we can get started. Thanks to Hobbitmatt, Farstar and Renno, I've got a few shots on a guide track and the real thing is ready to begin.

The first few lines are spoken, and they need to be the same two guys just like in the original video. Thereafter, it's a free-for-all! Record them however you like. Some can be singing, some can be spoken, some can be shouted. I'll update this post to keep track of which ones have been done.

We need a shiteload of different boom de yadas. I've got a couple of special ones in mind, but most of the boom de yada bits don't have any visuals yet. I'll decide what images to put on when I know what the boom de yadas sound like. There is one special one I want to do - check the end of the video where the guy jumps into the cave. Boom-de-yadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I want to duplicate that on Damavand Peak :)

Of course, we could keep my guide vocal for the real thing. But the verse I posted is by far the best and if the rest of that song ever saw the light of day, we'd be banned from youtube.

So I tried recording a few lines for you. At least this is what I recorded--maybe more. I tried 3x each line so you'll more likely have a workable sample.

That would be awesome Fast. Bobsama, I've included a few of the lines you recorded already. One comment though - they were a bit too quiet to be heard over the music. I've applied a bit of noise reduction but it's a bit hit-and-miss, which is why I haven't ticked off most of them. It's sounding fantastic so far guys, keep 'em coming!

That's alright--this microphone is weird. It came with a DOA Asus P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP. Unfortunate really--the board had to be trashed because of bent pin that became a broken pin. It was just really bad luck--IIRC, it was a clock pin and, without it, the socket was dead. But oh well--it was free. Anyways, I did 100% volume +20 dB boost so you can obviously hear how loud it is.

We may not be the first, but by DAMN we'll be the best! Lots of lines still need recording fellas, please claim a few and let me know. I can record over TS if anybody wants.

Also, filming: I'm free wednesday night, who's available? If we've got enough people there's a couple of gigantic scenes I want to shoot, it would be good to have a long session if you guys are available. Post below.
