Hey not sure if anyone here is into mountain or street bikes but I went today and looked at a redline d600 and it was in my price range but the reviews say it is a pretty average bike. Anyone have any other suggestions for something to take a look at? I'd like to stay below $1000 preferable below $600.

I ride bikes. My Bandit 1200 and my Kona Fire Mountain powered by my pure awesomeness. Sadly the 1200 is faster. Damn it.

A new one would be under 600 and you could find a used one right now due to college kids selling everything before they end up a casting couch making daddy proud.

My Kona is a hard tail but I enjoy it more. I like to feel what I'm riding against plus it just seems far more stable. Hope this helps.

Find out your size and look for a bike in your size. Yes the better bikes come in different sizes. You can find a really nice bike for cheap. Just ask a fatty if they have a bike they would like to sell. You will be surprised about the nice bikes you can find out there. You may have to buy some new tires but a hundred spent on tires as appose to a thousand on a new bike is a big deal. I have a mongoose mountain bike that I saw a guy throw away. Nice bike and it was like new.

Also try craigslist. Trek Gary Fisher X-Caliber 2011 Mountain Bike 29er
