I walk in back to the PC parts area, start looking around for the Z97 Mobos and all I can see are Z87. Find a tech guy back there, ask him if they have any Z97 mobos, he looks around and says he doesn't think so, and ask if I have a link too it.

I show him the motherboard on the TigerDirect website, and he said let me go check something since that board is expensive.( Last time I checked $150 wasn't expensive for a mobo) and they had $250 ones sitting out on the racks.

He comes back and says they don't have anything. BUT THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN HIS BOSS APPEARS. He ask his boss, The head honcho of the computer hardware, and he says AND I QUOTE " There is no such thing as Z97, and then tries to apologize to me for his co-workers "lack of knowledge".

You guys should have seen the look on his face when I was like "Actually, your "co-worker" is correct, and there is Z97 chip-sets, it came out a few months ago. As he looks at me puzzled, I show him the motherboards on there website and he take my phone and is looking at the page very hard for like 3-4 minutes, before telling me, "I'm not sure that we carry these types of motherboards, I did not know they even had a (Get ready for this) """""AMD CHIP-SET LIKE THIS"""""". I almost died, and then continued to teach this HEAD TECH GUY about the Z97 chip-set. Before he decided to tell me to order it online since the store does not carry it.

Typical. Microcenter isn't any better.

Once is a while you get a massive Derp. The associate I usually work with at Micro knows his shit.

This kind of stuff never happened before they merged with CompUSA.

I used to run into this at home depot/lowes when I did construction. Looking at a guy like hes a got a brain injury because he is telling me that there is no thing as a double pull single throw switch or they don't make 12 gauge 3 conductor wire. I just got to the point were I would tell them no I don't need any help, I will just find it on my own.

Shit that sucks. Always had good experience at tiger direct here in canada.

Sucks because I had a $20 off coupon good 6/1/14. I was going to use it to get a $160 motherboard(Over my budget) and only pay $140(Right at my budget)

i whould have asked for the manager to be fired :S ppl like that get a job and they have no idea whats going they are just there for a paycheck .....

The same at most of those places ...unfortunately. Most of the time I have been working on computer hardware/software longer then the "techs" have been on this earth. :) and I am not that old.......
