I loved Formula 1 in the early 90's. I think the late 80's with the ridiculous-ass turbos and manual transmission when Senna McLaren dominated was the "golden age" of F1 IMO, but I was quite young to really catch that first hand. I don't know if we'll ever see something as fearsomely awesome as Senna driving a McLaren in Monaco. One handed, with the other hand on the shift stick. There was a video on a documentary somewhere.
I watched Damon Hill beat Schumi for the 1994 GP I think. Then he retired and I somewhat lost interest. From what I was seeing in news, haphazardly, Schumi commenced a decade-long assrape with noone even coming close to him as far as I remember.
I've always found oval racing boring as fuck though. I don't know why the US is so obsessed with it.
Oh, I also love rallies, although they're obviously less entertaining to follow since they're so damn long.
